How to Flirt with a Naked Werewolf by Molly Harper was a fun read. For the most part it was the lighthearted story of Mo Weinstein's move change from a southern girl raised by hippies to an independent woman who lives in Grundy, Alaska. In a city that is small and hard for outsiders to fit into, Mo starts to fit in by using her culinary skills. She wins everyone over except for Cooper Graham. That is until she finds Cooper naked on her porch with a bear trap on his leg! The fun ensues from there. Mo and Cooper explore a relationship, and a wolf begins to target Grundy and its citizens and visitors!

I recommend reading it if you have the time. It was an easy read, and the characters are easy to identify with. Cooper is a surly man who had to leave his family behind, and Mo can't run fast enough away from her hippy parents who want to save her from meat and processed foods!

Where She Went

Where She Went is Gayle Forman's sequel to her book If I Stay. In the book If I Stay, Mia and her family are in an accident which kills her entire family. Mia struggles in her mind while in a coma deciding if she wishes to live, or to join her family. Her boyfriend Adam remains by her side urging her to stay and fight for her life as she lies sleeping during her coma. In the sequel, Where She Went, Adam becomes our narrator. We see the story through his eyes, we see the damage that's been done by the loss of Mia's family, and ultimately the loss of Mia. We see he has become a successful rock star and where all his angsty songs have come from. Adam allows us to look at how the loss of Mia has changed not only him, but those around him.

While I did not enjoy this book as much as If I Stay, it was just as well written and definitely worth the time to read!

Yup, you read the genres correctly... a Zombie romance. Isaac Marion has crafted a tale that allows the reader to view the inner thinkings of zombies. R may be dead, and unable to speak multi-syllabic words, but his mind creates vivid pictures and has quite the vocabulary. After eating the brains of a soldier, R gains the soldier's memories and protects his girlfriend, Julie. R develops ways to keep Julie safe and camouflaged from the zombies that he lives with. We are able to see how R interacts with other zombies and the things worse than zombies called bonies. Marion draws us into a rather unconventional love story between two different types of humans, living and non-living.

I am not normally a zombie fan, but this book was well written and developed and worth the time to read it!
