Daughter of Smoke and Bone was a great read! I really enjoyed this book by Laini Taylor. The characters are well written and Taylor uses a lot of  descriptive imagery, so you'll have no problem picturing things in your head.

Karou is a 17 year old art student in Prague with a weird occupation, she collects teeth for Brimstone, the chimaera who raised her. Suddenly, scorched handprints are appearing on all the doors that she uses to travel between Brimstone's world and ours. During one of her teeth collecting missions she comes across a seraph named Akiva who tries to kill her. Madness begins to ensue, first Brimstone banishes her, then Akiva hunts her down, and eventually Karou figures out who she truly is. With an ending that even I didn't see coming, this is a must read! I can't wait for the sequel to come out in November! If you read this book, you won't be disappoitned and you will be left in anticipation of the sequel!
